Large Loads Require Large Slings Whatever the load you are lifting. UMI can supply a steel wire rope sling to do the task.

Sling upto 12" (305 mm) diameter n be supplied with minimum braking loads upto tons. There are three distinct types of Wire Rope Sling

- Slings manufactured from cable laid ropes, 4" diameter to 12" diameter. hand spliced or by combination of hand splicing and socketing with eye at each end USHALOCK.

-True endless cable laid grommet slings. with eyes seized in each end.

-Slings manufactured from 6

strand equal laid ropes. upto 3 ½ " diameter with soft eyes spliced each end. terminated by either hand splicing or mechanical means.

UMI can offer both Hand spliced and ,USHALOCK methods of terminating cable laid slings. The USHALOCK offers the following advantages:-

- Slings can be manufactured to closer length tolerance than those normally quoted for hand splicing.

- The Stretch of the eye and termination is reduced because there are no splicing tucks which will pull down under load.

- Slings of shorter length can be produced. again because there is length of splice to be considered.

- USHALOCK offers 90 % terminal each efficiency as against75% with conventional hand spliced cable laid slings.
